The Ox Head football head and neck protector is the only device on the market that drastically reduces neck flexion and neck extension,  while eliminating neck compression. Most or all of the impact inertia is redirected to the shoulder pads. 

This device has the potential to eliminate virtually all head, neck and brain area football related injuries and health issues. NFL and major college football players have helmets specifically made and fitted for each individual player. Ultimately this could also be done with the Ox Head.

For now we have a version of the device that can mount onto any size shoulder pad and accommodate multiple types and sizes of helmets. There's a specific Douglas shoulder pad with pre-existing holes for the Douglas Butterfly Restrictor to mount. The Ox Head mounts easily into these same holes,  without any drilling. Otherwise 2 mounting holes can be drilled into the shoulder pads. 

Besides the occasional high impact collision, the main cause of CTE in football are the repetitive, lesser impacts that occur mainly during practice. These hits are mainly among linemen, who hit each other head on, during every play. At 50 hits per practice session, a lineman can accumulate up to 12,000 or more of these hits throughout junior and senior high school. NFL players can more than double that number. NFL and other linemen have complained about headaches and light headedness after practice 

The Ox Head can be used at any grade or age level, but introductory use for sixth grade linemen  is our initial focus 

The size of the device can be changed to accommodate different individuals or helmet options. Besides use with a football helmet, the Ox Head can also be used with a lighter, smaller hockey or other helmet 

As opposed to wearing a tight, thick, heavy, hot regular football helmet. Using the Ox Head with a lesser helmet will increase visibility, ventilation and comfort. 

The increased comfort and dramatic increase in overall safety, provided by the Ox Head, far outweigh any bulkiness concerns. Sixth grade linemen are the least affected by bulkiness anyway
